DollyWink Liquid Eyeliner + Kate Brown Collection BR1 FOTD

 

My new eye liner love ~ Dollywink Liquid Liner

There are no words to describe how much  I love my Dollywink liquid eyeliner right now. The tip is very thin yet sturdy and the color is a nice deep black, not at all inky like some drugstore brands and it applies like a dream. If you are semi monolid like me and need a very accurate and sharp eyeliner to bring out your eye shape, DW eyeliner is really amazing. WOW.  Plus it doesn’t hurt that the eyeliner and packaging is mega cute!

A simple and really fast look that I did using Dollywink liquid liner and kate brown collection BR1.My eyeliner strokes are never this fine but the fine tip of DW makes it so easy. Sharp lines are very easy to draw now!

Hmm.. the KATE brown collection BR1 actually showed up well in my microshots. I’m using fairy drops mascara btw

Super Easy Eyes with Korean Falsies

 

Girls with hooded lids look really nice with falsies especially in pictures. It helps to bring out the eyes and No I am not talking about over the top XiaXue eye makeup but wearable and non clownish eye makeup. 

So far, the best false eyelashes I have used are these random Korean Branded lashes from SaSa. They are soft and look very natural. They are a breeze to use.

So, it only took me 10-15 minutes MAX to do this simple eye look, which goes to show how easy it is!

Step 1: Apply a base for shadow to stick. Too Faced Shadow Insurance, Becca cream eye shadow, etc…

Step 2: Apply Mac shadestick Blackish Purple color, close to the lashes, leaving the inner corner and the bottom inner half untouched. The color is very light but it’s just a outline

Step 3:Taking Mac Vanilla Pigment, apply it onto the inner corners and the bottom inner lash line

Step 4: Use a color closest to your lid shade and blend it all over lids

Step 5 :Intensify the black outline. I love these Loreal Hip Eyeshadows that Dee sent to me:)

Step 6: Take Falsies, measure and trim it. Since it is so long, I like to trim the outer ends and  glue the extra lash portion onto the band of the outer corners of the original falsie and give it time to dry!

Apply as close to lash line as possible & Curl if you like ~

Step 7: Apply Fairy Drops Mascara generously to both false and real lashes as well as the bottom lashes.

 

Step 8: U’re done! Check for any unblended harsh lines:-)

Maybelline Volum’ Express The Magnum Mascara Review

 

 

Hmm… I’ve been walking by this bright yellow mascara by Maybelline and each time I’ve felt a pull towards it’s electric yellow packaging. I do enjoy Maybelline’s volumizing mascaras and they usually work well.  Based on past experience plus the fact that there wasn’t any Fairy Drops Mascara in sight, I bought this mascara in a huff and I kinda regret it!

Review:-

Maybelline Volum’Express The Magnum Masacara BRUSH:

- The rather straight mascara wand doesnt provide much lift to lashes 

- The long and rather fat wand always leaves mascara stains on skin near my lashes

Maybelline Volum’Express The Magnum Masacara FORMULA:

- The formula is rather wet. I do not like wet mascaras because they are messy  upon application & drying and it’s such a hassle to wait for them to dry

Maybelline Volum’Express The Magnum Masacara RESULTS:

-Lashes look fuller but they tend to droop at the edges after 10-15 minutes of application

-Fresh from application, lashes can look rather nice and thick but they soon get heavy and get clumpy especially at tip of lashes ( resulting in droopy lash tips- eww )

-Takes many coats to get the desired lash volume

- Price wise, it cost a little less than my fairy drops mascara I think.

I would pay a little more to purchase my all time favorite Fairy Drops Mascara that gives volume and lift to my lashes in way fewer coats without the droopy or clumpy action.

           

Fairy Drops Mascara VS Maybelline Volum’Express The Magnum Masacara :

My verdict is pretty simple : I should never buy mascaras on impulse and based on looks!! The magnum is a pretty big let down for me in terms of performance and the price point. It isn’t the cheapest mascara that Maybelline carries and the packaging is so fun but the clumpy\droopy action and wet formula is a big turn off for me.

 

Mini Birthday Haul & Part 2 Blovet’s Lipstick Collection

Hi Sweeties, I’ve been pretty busy cause of what else but work and also cause yesterday was my birthday **- I needed to catch up with my own family and of course it’s kinda depressing turning a quarter of a century !  I’m wondering just how I jumped from 15 to 25, accompanied with fine lines, open pores,scarring and all >< haha..

But seriously, I don’t talk too much abt my personal stuff except during tags cause this blog is reserved for my passion. I would have to make one special exception though:>

I would love love love to share and pass on my birthday blessings to my hubby  whom I have known for a decade. I am not a mushy person but when he looked me in the eye and told me “happy birthday sweetie , I’ve known u since you were young and I’m so happy to be with you”, my heart just melted. He is so special to me and my life would not be the same without him. He reads this blogs always and I’m not very expressive with my feelings but I hope he knows just how much I adore him. I really do :)

Also, to all my dearest and closet friends & blogger pals who wished me a Happy Birthday, Thanks Sweeties:) You make turning a year older so much better! Me adore all my darling friends :)

Okay, moving on,I was actually intending to dump this blog entry cause of the discoloration from the silly blue light but since there were some request for more lip swatches, I thought why not?

  

Aren’t these pens cute? I’m going to start making it a point to get cute or attractive stationary cause it makes me happy!

Before I applied all my lip products, I would use this healing Lavender Balm to moisturize my lips and it’s the reason why my lips didn’t bleed or peel after so many swatches. This lip balm is a life saver for dry and chapped lips. Currently, I use it every night as a lip conditioner b4 bed.

 

A gorgeous purple clear gloss called Envy Me from TOO FACED cosmetics. I like this gloss a lot. Surprisingly, this dark looking purple gloss, turns  a soft pink on my lips when applied alone. It makes lips look ultra glossy. Sorry about the blur picture.

 

 

Dior Lipgloss. I don’t know what possessed me to buy this but this was back in the days when I didn’t know about online blog reviews. I am so la la with this lip gloss. The shimmer particles are so big and I am not a fan of multi color reflective glitter..

 

 

If you need an affordable brownish nude to wear alone or to layer on top of another color, MAYBELLINE NUDE is simply the way to go. Color is a sheer brownish and the finish makes my lips look so moisturized and smooth. No drying of the lips at all. Love this!

My mommy got me MAC’s Lipglass early this year and I love it cause it looks lovely alone. Not ultra sticky, nice color payoff and it doesn’t glide off. Love this lipglass cause it can paired with so many brown or nudish lipsticks!

 

I don’t really know how to wear pinky shimmer lipstick but surprisingly, this Rimmel High Gloss Lipstick 013 was perfect for day wear. It’s moisturising without being overly slippery and it looks lovely paired with a pinkish or clear gloss!

 

  

Gentle Coral lip conditioner from MAC looks crazy in the pot but it gives this lovely orangey color on the lips. Perfect for a lazy or no makeup day, it’s definitely a tinted lip color that I revisit from time to time!

 

I usually love NYX products but this lipstick is not a favourite. I bought it in Japan cause it looked so gorgeous in the stick and the smell was lovely too. It was an implusive buy and  I kinda regret it. It’s very slippery. The color payoff is not fantastic and usually you would have to apply some foundation for the real color to show up. I think I might try to use this lipstick together with a matte lipstick. The packaging is gorgeous though - black and sleek . One perk though is that it’s very smooth upon application.

 

 

Initially when I first bought shy girl, I was quite crazy about it. After a few weeks, this lipstick broke on me and it made me pretty pissed cause I did not toss it around in my makeup bag as I usually do. This lipstick is super slippery and it isn’t tat great in covering my pigmented lips. The coral shade is very pretty and lovely but it’s not for pigmented lips like mine.
