New York fashion designer debuted her CHABELLA label by launching her first women’s ready-to-wear collection titled Paradiso, with a presentation sponsored by Grand Marnier at Le Cirque in New York City to showcase the Spring/Summer 2011 line.
“I am excited to show my first collection in New York City, which is not only one of the biggest fashion capitals of the world, but is also a city full of culture and different personalities. I consider New York my home, and it has always been a dream of mine to present here,” said Gomez.
With the label geared towards modern women who love fashion, CHABELLA offers high-end, ultra feminine, tailored and contemporary ready-to-wear for women of all ages. The line consists of day wear and cocktail dresses, as well as separates and one of a kind hand-crafted fashion accessories.
The Spring 2011 collection, aptly titled Paradiso, is inspired by tropical travels and the Mayan culture mixed with the free spirit of Spring. The line beautifully blends colors, with naturally bold oranges and pinks, subdued by calming grays and whites. Each piece is paired with costume belts to accentuate the figure and bracelets to complete any look. "Paradiso represents the beginning of a new season. A woman who returns from a tropical vacation feeling so inspired by the scenery and different culture that she incorporates that into her wardrobe,” said Gomez, adding, “It’s designed for the fashion-lover who’s not afraid of color and mixing old and new silhouettes.”
